I love finding accommodations that have charm like this–squeaky floors and all! 🙂 We haven’t made it to Thailand yet, but this looks like the perfect place to stay whenever we make it there!

When we arrived we were warned about the mosquitoes by the owner but I think he does that more as a caution than for anything else. He is aware that the moat area can hold them and so didn’t want anyone to suffer. He also provides heat repellents for anyone that wants to sit outside in the evening which is a great touch.

I did worry about that but the doorway was so well sealed nothing got through thankfully. 🙂

I think when you are travelling around in Thailand’s heat and humidity you definitely need somewhere to keep drinks cool. 🙂

I think that the ‘rough around the edges’ element adds to the character of the property. 🙂

You will love it. It has so much character and the family that run it are so friendly. 🙂

Oops! The guesthouse looks like such a charming place to stay. I definitely prefer staying in local accommodation over fancy hotels, even if they’re a little rough around the edges 🙂
